Zoo Brew 2008

A beer festival AT the zoo. That is one of those crazy ideas you throw out like, “wouldn’t it be awesome to have a beer festival AT THE ZOO!?” Remove the throngs of children, throw in some live music and you have a pretty fantastic event.

Last Friday was a sunny afternoon, perfect temperatures, our friend (& groomsman) Bart was in town and we found ourselves at the Portland Zoo Brew. 40ish breweries, music, food, the ability to run around the zoo with hardly any people around and look at all the animals (while maybe a little bit tipsy) - what isn’t to love about that? Oh, and it is a fund raiser to bring the lions back. We sort of HAD to go. Doing our civic duty really.
